How to Browse and Edit Editions on Mobile

In the ARTERNAL mobile app, you can view and update editioned artworks by navigating between the parent record and its individual editions. This helps you manage pricing, availability, and details for each work on the go.

For Parent Records

Parent records represent the main editioned artwork (e.g., “Multiples of 10”). Use this section to browse or edit overall edition information.

1. Go to Inventory

Open Inventory in your ARTERNAL mobile app.

2. Find the Parent Record

Look for a work that shows Multiples of X under its title — this indicates it has editions.

3. View Editions

Open the parent record page and tap Editions (X) at the top to see all individual editions.

For Individual (Child) Editions

Child editions are the individual works within the edition set (e.g., Edition #1, #2, etc.). You can edit specific details like availability, price, or notes.

1. Search or Filter Inventory

From the inventory list, run a search or apply filters — this will show child editions alongside parent records.

2. Change Availability

Tap the colored circle next to the edition to cycle availability status (e.g., Available, Sold, On Hold).

4. Edit Edition Details

Tap the grey circle or Edit icon to update fields such as price, dimensions, location, or notes.

Tips

  • Parent vs. Child: Edits in the parent record apply to all editions unless an individual edition has been customized.

  • Quick Availability: Changing availability from the list view is a fast way to update status.

❓FAQs

Q: What counts as a “parent record”?
A: A parent record is the main entry for an editioned work that groups all individual editions under it.

Q: Why don’t I see individual editions in inventory?
A: By default, inventory shows parent records only — use search or filters to surface child editions.
