Adding a new contact in the ARTERNAL app is quick and straightforward. This guide walks you through creating a contact from your mobile device so you can update, message, or associate them with artworks on the go.

In the ARTERNAL mobile app, there are several ways to create a new contact. In this article, we’ll cover how to add one directly from the Contacts tab.
You can also create contacts by scanning business cards or adding them through SmartMail.

Create a New Contact

  1. Open the ARTERNAL app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap Contacts in the bottom navigation bar.

  3. In the top-right corner, tap ➕ New Contact.

4. Enter the contact’s First Name, Last Name, and any additional details you’d like to include:

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Address

  • Tags

  • Notes

5. Tap Create in the top-right corner.

Tip: If you’re creating a contact to use in SmartMail, make sure to include a valid email address so they appear in your recipient list.

Add Additional Details

Once the contact is created, you can tap into their profile to add or edit:

  • Company and Position

  • Contact Associations

  • Custom Fields

  • Addresses

  • Social links

Use the Edit button at the top-right of the contact’s profile any time you need to update their information. You can watch a video tutorial here

Q: Why can’t I see my new contact in SmartMail?

A: SmartMail only displays contacts with a valid email address. Double-check that the contact has an email entered.

Q: Can I add multiple emails or phone numbers?

A: Yes — tap Edit on the contact’s profile and scroll to add additional fields as needed.

Q: Does creating a contact on iOS sync with my desktop account?

A: Absolutely. Any contact created on mobile will appear across your entire ARTERNAL account.
