How to Upload and Manage Custom Fonts

Upload your gallery's fonts in Settings and use them in PDFs, invoices, Online Viewing Rooms and SmartMail.

Written by Kalila Richards

Upload your gallery's own fonts to use them in PDFs, invoices, Online Viewing Rooms and SmartMail. You can upload a whole font family at once, and ARTERNAL matches each font's family, weight and style for you.

How to upload custom fonts

  1. Go to Settings > Organization > Custom Fonts.

  2. Click Upload font files and choose all the files for the font family.

  3. The Review fonts window opens. Each font's Font family, Font weight and Style are already filled in.

  4. Check each font against its preview. Fix anything that's wrong, and click Remove next to any file you don't need.

  5. Click Upload. The button shows how many fonts you're adding.

  6. Your fonts appear under Installed Fonts.

⚠️ Important:

Please ensure you have the right to use the font by reviewing its license agreement. Learn more about font licensing

Supported font formats

Upload fonts as TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2. We don't recommend EOT, because it only displays in Internet Explorer.

✅ Tip:

You only need one format for each font. WOFF2 and WOFF are small and work in all modern browsers.

💡 ARTERNAL supports variable fonts in TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats.

Edit installed fonts

After uploading, you can update:

  • Font family name

  • Weight

  • Style

📝 Note:

You can upload several versions of the same font (for example light, bold and italic) or one variable font that includes every weight and style.

The Review fonts window fills in the same family name for each version, so they stay grouped. Only change it if it's wrong.

You can also edit or delete fonts anytime under Settings > Organization > Custom Fonts.

Custom fonts help your PDFs, invoices, OVRs and emails match your gallery's branding. If you're unsure how a font will look, test it in a draft before you share it.

To change a font after uploading it, see Editing Custom Fonts in Settings.
