Adding Works to Your Website's Store

Add works to your website's Store from your inventory, set their price, and mark them sold out.

Written by Kalila Richards

Your Store page shows works you choose to sell online. Each Store item is a post in the CMS. When you link it to a work in your inventory, the work's details are copied in for you.

🛒 Add a work to your Store

  1. In the CMS, click Posts in the sidebar.

  2. Click New post. A new draft post opens.

  3. Set Category to Store. The Store details section appears.

  4. Under Link inventory, search for the work and select it. Its title, artist, image, price and details are copied into the post.

  5. Check the Price, Currency and Details (medium, dimensions, edition), and add a description in Body if you like.

  6. Turn on Visible on site.

  7. Click Publish.

✅ When a work sells or its price changes

Store items don't update from ARTERNAL. Linking a work copies its details once, so later changes to the inventory record don't reach your Store.

  1. In Posts, click the Store filter and open the work's post.

  2. Turn on Sold out, or turn off Visible on site to remove it from your Store.

  3. If the price changed, update Price.

  4. Click Publish.

❓FAQs

Q: I edited the post. Did that change the work in my inventory?

A: No. Changes to a Store post only affect the post.

Q: Where do purchase requests go?

A: To your Inquiry Email in Home Page Settings, or your Contact Email if that's empty. The buyer is added to your website inquiry list in ARTERNAL.

Q: I clicked New post by mistake. What do I do?

A: New post creates a draft straight away. Open it and click Delete if you don't need it.
